John Bush
VOCALIST
Since their formation in 1982, John Bush has been the fierce frontman of Armored Saint who have released eight full-length albums, one EP, a live album, a greatest hits compilation and two DVDs. Around this time Bush, who was the only vocalist on their list, was invited by Metallica’s James Hetfield to join the band as lead singer, while Hetfield concentrated on his guitar. He turned down the offer as he wanted to stay loyal to his Armored Saint brothers.
Following the 1992 dissolution of Armored Saint, Bush received a call from Scott Ian of Anthrax, who offered Bush the chance to fill the spot left behind by singer Joey Belladonna, with whom they parted ways with. Bush accepted the position and joined the band, adding alternative rock sensibilities & a much more intense & vocal approach . He fronted the band from 1992 – 2005 and again in 2009.
Since then John has kept busy by doing voiceovers for tv commercials, songs for video games and vocals for various artists. He even got that chance to sing with Metallica finally and you can catch him back behind the mic with Armored Saint.
